The NRF DESIGN STUDIO convention

The NRF DESIGN STUDIO for Store Design and Visual Merchandising is a convention that brought together the world’s newest advancement in technology for visual merchandising, and store design, via the web or for a more conventional brick and mortar store. Retail companies and design firms from around the world, brought forth innovative ideas that will certainly enhance the present and future experiences in shopping, and change the face of fashion and retail all at once.
Companies such as Bergmeyer, Callison and ZU+ELEMENT presented ideas that include conserving energy and working with the environment. The ideas of generating 3D illusions, natural light, shadows, precise structure and minimal material is alluring. On the other hand, Potion and CBX shows tickle the imagination by using sophisticated technology to improve graphic design. Potion specifically focuses on the product being sold by using technology that makes it possible for consumers to see available sizes in stock, or comments other consumers have made simply by picking up the merchandise.
Another company with a unique idea is the XL LED Lab. This company works with others to make signs involving digital picture and color. LED Lab has worked with music award shows, universal retail stores and has created billboards viewed right here in the heart of the city. Another interesting technology is the Mockshop, which is a Microsoft 3D program that works by enabling users to create their own virtual store right from home. It allows one to design a personal store customized anyway they like. Overall the fashion world has come along way, but with new ideas and inventions, it leaves people to wonder what the next big thing.
