Starlets in black entered the Hammerstein Ballroom and posed while the media snapped pictures. The show was very late getting started, but when it finally did the stage came to life. Models floated across the stage in colorful hues. The girls had on blue tights! Such a transition from G-Star’s usual dark and sleek vibe. Colors: khaki beige, yellow, cobalt blue, navy, and black came into sight. Then, as if we hadn't seen enough color... kelly green tights, shoes and separates came into focus. There was even an all green suit, which I loved. The whole collection seemed brave for G-Star. Leather biker gloves were shown, and navy and black in the same outfits were featured. Sometimes more is just more!
For the collection, designer Pierre Morisset was inspired by the coats of NY's Central Park coachmen. The collection featured oversized raincoats.. Pants in metallic colors, and shoes in bright Crayola shades! The stage had amazing lighting that changed colors and danced around... as the models walked to the beat. At one point, when all models were on stage, it looked like lunch break in Times Square. Seemed as though, everyone was rushing to work and ready to whatever weather came their way. Rain or shine, you are sure to look bright and stylish in G-Star this fall!
