The tents were filled with lovebirds and also single beauties. Pink and Red was all around us. People rushed around outside with flowers and candy, and romance was in the air.
My day started at the Herve Leger by Max Azria show. My eyes focused on the white and beige form fitted dresses. Many had cutouts and interesting draping. Others had gromets and were very corset-like in structure. Ribbon was woven intricately into the dresses. As much as I loved the collection, I doubted such form fitting silhouettes would look as good on very curvy women. I loved all the shapes I saw. There were diamonds, triangles, and circles all over the place!
The Diane Von Furstenberg show was overflowing with people, even though the showing was in the largest tent. The makeup looks varied in this show and I saw models with dark smoky eyes, but otherwise bare makeup. Hair hung loose and moved easily as the models walked. Fabrics varied. The eye-catching pieces were big fluffy-looking dresses in white and black...

On my way to Starbucks after the shows, I ran into a new friend. He happened to be going to the Betsey Johnson after party... and invited me along! Stoked I was to be a part of such a crazy event. I arrived to see a bunch of crazy fashionistas dancing on the furniture of a very classy venue. Champagne was free and Betsey's show was projected on a large screen. Betsey had done a tribute to McQueen during her show. At the party she looked to be having a great time and she danced with her guests as they stopped by to say hello!
