Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week (Tuesday, February 16th)

The Mimkho show had a very Russian feel to it. Hair was pinned back with braids. A red lip accented the face. The collection had both dresses and separates in brown, rust, and beige.  Paisley prints in green and red caught my eye and neck ruffs in both fur and knitted fabric were a nice touch.

At G-Star Raw I fell in love with bight tights! Solid colors... khaki beige, bright lemon yellow, kelly green, and cobalt blue made stunning combinations. Denim, leather, and even pleather were seen worn together in the same outfit. Navy blue and black were paired up together. The choreography was amazing and the Hammerstein ballroom was packed to capacity.

The Blonds fashion show was a huge success and I even scored an interview with Phillipe and David Blond backstage, before the show! They were so down to earth and nice and it was nice seeing them so humble after all of their success. Their fashion show started with a gorilla on the runway... which actually turned out to be Phillipe Blond (in a giant gorilla costume)! Phillipe tore the gorilla outfit off and stepped out of the costume wearing a beautiful gold dress! It was quite an entrance and unique way start to the show.Their collection had a vintage makeup and hair inspiration, but the clothes were ultra modern and very bling. Corseted dresses with metal and others with gold glitz sent the crowd into applause.
