Designer Francisco Costa is known for continuing the classic lines of the Calvin Klein Collection. And he didn’t disappoint during his two shows Feb. 18, the final day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2010 in New York. The collection featured both day and evening wear. Hemlines fell from just above the knee all the way to the ankle. Sleeveless and long-sleeve styles were shown. The dresses were cut mostly A-line.
Highlights included a silver, long-sleeve, floor-length, A-line dress, which skimmed, but not hugged the model’s body, and a sleeveless, basic black dress, hemmed just above the knee. Among celebrities in attendance were Kate Bosworth (shown here in 2009), Naomi Watts and Kerry Washington.

Talking with reporters after the show about his perspective, vision and interpretation of the line, Costa modestly said: “But nobody is Calvin.” Mr. Calvin Klein founded the brand in 1968. Mr. Costa is the current creative director of Calvin Klein.
