Michael Kors' Web site Honors His Mom

We Know Mother's Day isn't until Sunday, May 9, but we just noticed that Michael Kors' Web site features photos of the designer and his mother -- in celebration of the upcoming holiday. Mr. Kors has more reasons to celebrate: the Council of Fashion Designers of America will honor him with its Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award at its awards ceremony June 7. On his Web site Mr. Kors said with his mom being a fashion model and his grandfather being in the textile industry, it was never a question of if, just when he would be a fashion designer. Then Mr. Kors added: "Thanks Mom."
