NYIGF: New York International Gift Fair

If you are like any other New Yorker you most likely have acquaintances around the globe, and are constantly asking yourself “what would be the perfect gift for…?” Look no further, the NYIGF has just the answer for you - with 85 countries represented and over 2500 exhibiting companies you will be certain to find that special something that will wow even your fussiest of friends or relatives; and for a price that will make your wallet happy.

With a myriad of key retailers in attendance from buyers, distributors, importers, wholesalers and manufacturers there is bound to be something for everyone – probably why the event carries over for nearly a week. One would need that time to fully appreciate the listless categories on display in the ample space provided by the Jacob Javits Center conveniently located in the heart of New York City. The event carries products ranging from: candles, children’s/baby items, decorative accessories, fashion, floral, games/puzzles/toys, handmade crafts, home furnishings and textiles, jewelry, kitchenware, novelties/souvenirs, promotional items, seasonal/holiday and much much more. With so much to view it can be a dizzying experience for the faint at heart; which is why we decided to bring some of the fair to you. This way you can sample firsthand the amazing beauty, art and ambiance on display this summer at the NYIGF. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by the welcoming aroma of scented candles, soaps & bath fragrances and can instantly be swept away by the magnificent pieces. Such as the beautiful handcrafted, from recycled cotton, ornaments and Holiday tree skirts complements of Arcadia Home, all made right in our back door – Brooklyn, NY. Did we mention that the sample olive green print shown here is a replica of the Obama’s holiday skirt for their private residence for the First Couple’s inauguration Christmas?
But it doesn’t stop there. In fact, there is almost too much to mention . You truly need to experience for yourself. However, if you missed the opportunity to see all of the fine handcrafted, organic, unique and truly magnificent pieces yourself this summer, then I’m sorry to report you will have to wait until January 2011. As this must see event only happens but twice a year.
