Bion Model Management: Princess Morris runs this modeling and entertainment management company, whose clients include her daughters: Crystal Morris, a model (who took part in Loris Diran’s spring/summer 2011 presentation) and Kamsha Morris, a pop singer and writer.
Mademoiselle Agnes (aka Agnes Boulard): This French fashion journalist teamed up with director Loïc Prigent to make “Girl on the Run: 10 Years” and “Girl on the Run: Winter 2011,” documentaries that aired on the Sundance Channel and provided insight into the international fashion scene.
RightyRightyRight.com: Rio, Tomo and Gilda have launched an edgy, creative, glossy publication (too small to be a magazine, too large to be a brochure). Its pictures are original. Its text is to the point and interesting. It took less than a minute to page through and discover designers and shops new to me. I’d definitely recommend it! (There is a Web site, too.)
Sundance channel: This TV company, known for its independent productions, is offering Full Frontal Fashion, which includes a series of documentaries called “The Day Before.” Each hones in on a top designer in the final one to two days before their runway show. In one, Diane von Furstenberg is upside down, in a Pilates position, at the same time talking with her show’s fashion stylist and seeing how models look in garments. If you don’t subscribe to this TV channel, you can also access its shows on its Web site.
Tim Gunn: the “Project Runway” fashion consultant/host released his new book, “Golden Rules: Life’s Little Lessons for Making it Work.”
