On Sunday June 27th, the scorching sun and stifling heat could not stop patrons from attending the Veuve Cliquot's third annual Polo Classic Match, held on Governor's Island in NYC. The charity event once again helped raised money for American Friends of Sentebale, a charitable organization founded by Prince Harry of Wales, and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, Both of whom are dedicated to helping and supporting the orphans and vulnerable children in the tiny land-locked African country of Lesotho.
Guests were treated to cocktails and a breathtaking panoramic view of the New York City skyline, and let’s not forget the Polo match featuring world class players. Unfortunately Prince Harry fell off his horse during the game, but the day was not lost as the event was for a good cause. Celebrity guest includes musician Rob Thomas, Gale King, Carol Alt, and Mary J. Blige. At an event such as this, hats are a must for true fashionistas. We certainly were able to catch sight of some of the unique and fashionable hats worn by many attendants. Here's a little taste of the event!
