Lucky Brand Holiday Press Preview

The fall/winter 2010 preview season is upon us, and you know that since weknow is always in the know (yes! pun intended) about the fashion world's latest happenings, you'll always know too! Our first stop: The Lucky Brand Jeans showroom!
Lucky Brand Jeans is a California born, designer denim apparel company known for the superior fit of their jeans and an easy to wear bohemian/vintage style. For the up-coming fall/holiday 2010 season, we were excited to see Lucky add some color and sparkle to their signature boho look! Inspiration this time around comes courtesy of the lumberjack in all of his plaid glory, and fashion's latest fixation - ethnic prints, with the Navajo Indian Tribe as muse. Everything from sweaters, to shoes, to jewelery, to sunglasses will receive a touch of Navajo magic. Even their brand new venture into loungewear did not escape the colorful and playful patterns. (We were particularly tickled by a bright pair of Navajo print undies, and vowed then and there that come fall, we'll be the first in line, purchasing them in bulk!) Apart from the usual denim, Lucky will also roll out jackets made with a heavy but smooth flannel material, guaranteed to keep everyone both snug and fashionable for the season. We saw sweaters and flannel jackets embellished with a bit o' bling from their accessory collection which will certainly add that holiday twinkle we all love. Their leather cuffs with brilliant, textured metal are also a novel and welcoming contrast when it comes to jewelery. Combining the smooth leather with shiny metal will appeal to the boho who wants a little flash, and the poser looking for something a little earthy. We like that - combining opposing elements to beckon the masses without straying from their true aesthetic! Lucky is also providing us with more to look at when it comes to their shoes. There's an adorable pair of warm, fuzzy moccasins which we think can be rocked both indoors and outdoors; leather booties with Navajo detail; and sunny colors that will neither offend nor shock the eyes, but lend a pleasant and complete look to any outfit.

Whether doing you're shopping at a Lucky store near you, or at one of the high-end department stores in which the brand is found, we think that everyone can find some exciting basic pieces to build a fun and fashionable wardrobe for the season.
