On Monday August 9, 2010 some of the fashions, music and entertainment industry’s most stylist people gathered at PoP Burger in the newly coined historic Meatpacking district for a weekly networking event.
The stylish host, Luke Destin, is the world famous stylist for Oprah Winfrey and has styled some of the most beautiful people in Hollywood. Luke started styling at the very young age of 16 and has been doing it for the past 14 years.
The socialite and business owner (he owns LeCedul International House of style) promised attendees a weekly opportunity to meet and network with an ever changing group of his talented and famous friends and colleagues. Andhe didn’t disappoint. Among the musicians, finance people, Opera singer, stylists and producers was Victoria Secret Supermodel Selita Ebanks and Joel the Celebrity Barber.
PoP Burger was the perfect location for this stylish gathering. The well dressed host set the tone in this white wide leg pants and dark grey button down. Other stand outs were the petite Opera singer Annie who was dressed in a pretty blush colored mini dress with sheer panels on the front and back and of course the beautiful Selita Ebanks causally dressed in a tight white and black striped shirt and black mini.
When asked what the inspiration was for putting together such an event Luke Destin replied simply that he wanted to thank all the friends and people he’d met over the years that have worked hard behind the scenes by giving them the opportunity to connect and grow their own networks and businesses. The gatherings will continue every Monday until at least September.
