As you walk into the Grange showroom you get the sense of walking into the French home in the beautiful French countryside. But as you move around the well appointed show you start to discover a modern twist to the aesthetic.
The talented showroom designers have created stunning replicas of bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms and kitchens - many of which I wish I had in my home! Since 1904 Grange as been providing homes with beautiful French furniture, both in style and location. Over the years they have evolved their designs to fir the changing times but have always stayed true the their French roots; they continue to fabricate all the furniture in Monts du Lyonnais, France.
The this event was not about my ever growing domestic wishlist. In fact we've all gathered for the launch of a new line of unique, contemporary clay accessories from renowned French potter Gerard Nouri. Monsieur Nouri has created a whimsical line of pottery ranging from cups and saucers to vases and lamps.
Spearheaded by international interior designer Vyna St. Phard the event at Grange was elegant and fun just like the pottery we were there to appreciate. Starting from a young age Vnya began redecorating the home she lived in much to the joy of her mother. Has she matured her focus turned to Art Deco and creating the perfect space for the clients that hired her. Her keen design sense and pure love for what she does is evident to anyone that's had the pleasure to spend even a few minutes with her.
The collaboration between Grange and Gerald Nouri seems like a natural and organic step. I'm sure it will be a very successful relationship and I look forward to the next new thing to come from this showroom!
