Viewing party for Project Runway's season debut

Project Runway, the reality tv series for up-and-coming designers (and a show that has created one of America's most ubiquitous catch-phrases - "make it work") debuted its 90 minute 8th season on Thursday 29th of July. Yes! The producers this season have finally decided to give us more Tim and Heidi. No complaints here as I always yearn for more of Tim's practical words of advice and his classic facial expressions which seem bridled yet always convey his points perfectly.
I was fortunate enough to spend all of the first 90 minutes of the season with most of the models and some of the make-up artists from the show. Milana, one of this season's leggy runway beauties, decided that viewing the premiere with loved ones was the best way to ring in the season. The viewing party took place at a huge SOHO loft belonging to a very famous photographer (unfortunately we're not allowed to say). I almost felt like I was at a sporting arena when the runway show began. Loud applause, and hoots, and screams could be heard from our gathering of the show's insiders as each model sashayed her way down the catwalk. The crowd was imbued with the excitement oozing from the models as they saw themselves strut on screen and everyone couldn't help but be happy for them. There was so much love in the room that the night turned out to be one of those great nights you spend with good food, some alcohol, and a bunch of people you feel like you've known forever. And I'm sure I was not the only one speculating about which girl would be the last one standing come next fashion week in September. No doubt some of these girls will save their designer from elimination just as Cassanova's saved him from getting "Auffed". Well, I'm sure there are legions of opinions as to why he wasn't axed as his design skills seem to be the least developed out of all this season's contestants, but that's certainly a matter of opinion, right? No doubt we'll all be glued to our flat screens every Thursday until Project Runway's showing at fashion week to figure that one out.
