Keeping Up w/ NY Fashion Week: Days 3, 4, 5

This is how it sometimes goes at New York Fashion Week and Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week: you attend shows, you go to parties, you report and shoot photos, and you lose days. Yep, one day just blends into another. And that said, I'm eager to run out to see the Vera Wang show today, Day 6. (Don’t you just love her wedding gowns?). Here’s a quick recap:
Day 3: I saw Lacoste, Binetti, Cynthia Rowley (I loved her dresses and skirts w/ circles punched out in front), Prabal Gurung, Vivienne Tam, Z Spoke by Zac Posen and Venexiana. Stand outs for me were Cynthia Rowley (once again, those circles and the clean lines of her dresses and separates, adorned w/ circle discs and other details) and the Z Spoke show (his dresses made me think of Fifties housewives turned streetwalkers: soft plaids and prim collars turned sexy (just slightly sleazy) with tight waists and flouncy short skirts. Plus his models had attitude. [Miss Jay told me she helped coach the models on their walks for the show]). Of course, I’m in love with the Lacoste tennis dress for this 2010 U.S. Open season, so I liked the sporty Lacoste show, especially the tennis whites. See my earlier post about the Lacoste U.S. Open "it" tennis dress: http://weknowtvblog.blogspot.com/2010/09/us-open-it-dress-by-lacoste.html. Also, see our earlier post on Prabal Gurung (who can’t seem to do wrong): http://weknowtvblog.blogspot.com/2010/04/fashion-designer-prabal-gurung-in.html
Day 4 (Yes, that was Sunday, 9/12): This is the day I really seemed to lose it because the WeKnow.TV crew stayed out really late that night at the Tommy Hilfiger 25th anniversary party and after party at the Lincoln Center Metropolitan Opera House (following his better-than-ever runway show). Yes, the party spread to every floor of the grand opera house and featured celebs, star athletes and fave New York band, the Strokes. Earlier that day I saw the Timo Weiland and Rebecca Minkoff shows and then I went to the Metropolitan Pavilion to collections Susan Cianciolo, one of the designers at The Green Shows (see one of her garments in the photo above).
Day 5: Betsey Johnson, Perry Ellis and two Green Shows (Joann Berman and Ashton Michael Black Label). Plus WeKnow.TV hung out w/ Betsey Johnson in the VIP room at her after party. Her show and after party were among the best so far!
