On Poem in Your Pocket Day, Poets House in New York handed out poems printed on cards. See: http://ireport.cnn.com/docs/DOC-590606. Meanwhile former U.S. Poet Laureate Billy Collins (in photo, at right) and Guggenheim Fellowship recipient and award-winning poet Kimiko Hahn (third from right) took part in a poetry reading at Lehman College in The Bronx. When asked, Collins said his pocket poem of choice would be “This Lime-Tree Bower My Prison” by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. Hahn said she would carry along “So Lonely am I” by Ono No Komachi, translated from the Japanese by Donald Keene.
