Fashion Forward - (GMHC)
Gay Men's Heath Crisis (GMHC) hosted their 5th annual Fashion Forward charity gala on Thursday November 17 at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City. The event unites fashion, celebrity, silent and live auctions to help raise funds for the fight against AIDS. Hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross and Brad Goreski, the affair brought out top designers and elite professionals all dedicated to help prevent and find a cure for the disease .This year GMHC also honored Socialite Julie Macklowe with the Inaugural Style Vault Award.
The soiree began with a nice cocktail reception and red carpet arrivals; followed by several products silently auctioned including Julie Macklowe very own luxury skin care line vbeauté. Tracee Elis Ross and Brad Goreski also lead a live auction with luxury prizes like vacation packages to France, Brazil and Sweden, Armani Exchange fashion, Apple ipad 2, and more. However, the main attraction of the night was the fashion show featuring over 70 professional models both male and female wearing the latest runway looks donated from designers Chris Benz, Thom Browne, Jean Paul Gaultier, Marlon Gobel, Sally Lapointe, Zang Toi, Timo Weiland, and VPL. Guest include, The Blonds, Mike Ruiz, Jenny Shimizu, Thom Browne, Bryan Boy & Kyle Anderson,Leila Lopes (miss universe),Chrissy Teigen, and Carlos Campos to name a few.
